As a key piece of equipment in plastic processing and recycling production lines, the installation quality of plastic dryers directly affects their operating efficiency, energy consumption, and service life.To ensure stable, safe, and efficient operation after commissioning, scientific and systematic construction standards must be strictly followed, covering foundation preparation, equipment installation, pipeline connection, electrical connection, and commissioning and acceptance.
Sufficient foundation preparation should be carried out before construction. The installation location must meet the equipment's external dimensions and operation and maintenance space requirements. The ground should be flat and firm, capable of withstanding the static and vibration loads of the equipment under full load. For large stationary dryers, reinforced concrete foundations should be poured according to design requirements, and anti-vibration pads or vibration dampers should be installed to isolate low-frequency vibrations generated by equipment operation and prevent adverse effects on surrounding facilities and the equipment itself. After the foundation is completed, the levelness and elevation should be checked to ensure they conform to the installation drawings provided by the manufacturer.
Appropriate lifting and handling methods should be used when placing the equipment to avoid collisions or tilting that could cause structural deformation. After positioning, the level should be checked again and secured with anchor bolts or adjustable supports to ensure no displacement or shaking during operation. When connecting components such as hoppers, ducts, and heat exchangers, ensure that flanges or quick-connect interfaces are well-sealed to prevent air and heat leakage, which could affect drying efficiency and increase energy consumption.
Pipeline construction should distinguish between hot and cold air ducts and condensate drainage pipes, and arrange them rationally according to the medium flow direction. The inner wall of the duct should be smooth and clean, and guide vanes should be installed at bends to reduce resistance. Drainage pipes must maintain a certain slope to ensure smooth drainage of condensate, and inspection ports should be provided at low points for easy removal of possible blockages. All welds and connections must undergo airtightness or hydrostatic testing before being concealed or sealed.
Electrical connections must comply with current national and industry electrical installation standards. Cable laying should avoid high-temperature areas and moving parts of machinery, and should be protected against oil, moisture, and mechanical damage. The control cabinet should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated, and easily accessible location. Grounding resistance must meet safety requirements. Signal and power lines should be wired separately to prevent electromagnetic interference from affecting temperature control and monitoring accuracy.
The commissioning phase should be conducted under both no-load and load conditions. No-load commissioning focuses on checking the fan rotation direction, heating system temperature rise rate, temperature control instrument response, and the reliability of safety protection devices. Load commissioning requires inputting plastic raw materials according to process requirements to verify key indicators such as temperature uniformity, drying time, and output moisture content. Operating parameters should be fine-tuned based on the test results. Complete commissioning and acceptance records should be kept and signed by relevant technical personnel.
During construction, safe and civilized operation should be emphasized. Warning signs should be set up in hoisting areas, protective equipment should be provided for high-altitude operations, and hot work should be subject to approval and fire prevention measures. Construction personnel should possess the appropriate qualifications and strictly follow the drawings and process documents to ensure that each procedure meets standards.
Following the above construction standards can effectively reduce the installation defect rate, improve the stability and energy efficiency of the plastic dryer after commissioning, and provide a solid guarantee for plastic processing and recycling production.
